Greetings from your friendly neighborhood Youth Minister!
This month we will be traveling with the Middle school students to Atlanta for CIY. So be in Prayer that God would use that event and the speakers, performers, and atmosphere to reach into the lives of students from across the state and speak truth to them about his plans for their lives. We all have been given the promise in Jeremiah 29:11, For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future, but that is sometimes very hard to see as you go thru your preteen and teenage years. That anything good is going to come from the awkwardness and tumultuous current that is adolescence, is hard to grasp in those years and even later on during storms in your life. Our father has known that same isolation from good and having known that suffering is now waiting to help you thru whatever storm of life you find yourself in. He knows his plans for you and will work all things; every tear, every hurt, every lonely feeling, back to good. Know that we life seems the darkest you are not alone because Jesus is standing with you in that storm, just as he did with Peter on the Sea.
We will be having another cake auction to raise money for our student’s trips this summer. It was a great success last year and I think it will be as delicious this year maybe even better so be watching the newsletter and bulletins for more information as we get closer to the event.
